Warsteiner Brewery.

In 2011, for the second time, Warsteiner brewery was presenting the arts and creativity award "BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER". Within the framework of the platform "BLOOOM - the creative industries art show.", artists or artist groups have been asked to introduce themselves and their artworks to a jury of well-known figures, including Edo Dijksterhuis (Director of Art Amsterdam) and Walter Gehlen (Director of ART.FAIR). Afterwards, direct contact with BLOOOM visitors also possible. In this manner, Warsteiner and BLOOOM provide young and creative artists with a stepping stone to the professional arts and creativity market.

BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER.

As the official sponsor of BLOOOM and especially by presenting "BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER", the brewery is supporting creative talents from year to year. The premiere of the BLOOOM Award, with 615 participants in 2010, found overwhelming acceptance in the creative art scene. In 2011, Warsteiner wanted to build on this outstanding launch and was once more looking for young artists of all kinds - not only in Germany but also for the very first time in the Netherlands. Renowned for its lively and internationally networking arts and creative scene, our neighbour state was the ideal place for an expansion in Europe.

Ten finalists plus the "Dutch Winner of BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER" have been awarded the prize at Cologne's Staatenhaus on October 28. Their works could have been viewed in a special exhibition until November 1, 2011.

ART.FAIR | Fair for modern and contemporary art.

Over the last nine years, the ART.FAIR | Fair for modern and contemporary art has established a firm place for itself in the international art scene. Once a year, in Cologne's city centre, the ART.FAIR presents promising new positions and selected current artworks from internationally established artists. This year, ART.FAIR will celebrate its 10th birthday.

BLOOOM is integrated within the same parameters and space as its big sister ART.FAIR offering an even greater opportunity for exchange and inspiration amongst all parties.

In this context you can expect several truly extraordinary activities planned by CITROËN together with the art.fair International GmbH at this year´s ART.FAIR and BLOOOM: The prelude will be the exclusive CITROËN Vernissage Party on October 28 with two live concerts, several DJ performances and shows. On top of this, a very special artistic highlight will take place at the venue from October 28 till November 1:  „Lightwriting at its best“ featuring the performance artists from “Lichtfaktor” – a live experience together with the brand new CITROËN DS4 where you get the unique chance to try out yourself the light writing technology and thus become part of this symbiotic art performance. Additionally, four CITROËN DS3 customized by international street artists as well as other CITROËN models will be available for test- and shuttle drives.
