BLOOOM in the Land of Ideas

BLOOOM received a “Selected Landmark 2011” award in the nationwide innovation competition “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas”. It is thus among the 365 winners that are commended every year by the nation-branding initiative “Germany—Land of Ideas” in cooperation with the Deutsche Bank and under the patronage of the Federal President of Germany, Christian Wulff.

At the award ceremony, which was held during the vernissage on October 28, 2011, Nicolas von Loeper of the Deutsche Bank in Cologne emphasized the fair’s unique role: “As the first interdisciplinary art fair, BLOOOM has made the divisions between the diverse creative sectors more open. This facilitates mutual inspiration and also creates a more global understanding of art and creation.”

Among the 2,600 submitted applications, the art.fair international GmbH and BLOOOM were able to convince the independent jury; the promising future of their concept presents Germany as the “Land of Ideas”. Nicolas von Loeper explained the engagement of the Deutsche Bank: “We need ideas, devotion, and energy in order to continue to develop our economy and society. The winners of the ‘365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas’ competition demonstrate an exemplary dedication and, in doing so, they also advance Germany's chances for the future in the context of global competition.”
